It is with great regret that I have to announce that SaferGaming closed on 1st February 2017.
Our goal had been to use our own funds to launch the NGO and then raise additional funding to make the organisation sustainable and then once that goal had been achieved, to apply for EU funding for research and outreach projects in areas related to addiction.
We have sadly been unable to raise these additional funds, which puts the rest of the project in extreme doubt. Even though our cost base is under control, we found it very difficult to imagine being self-sufficient before the funds ran out.
Therefore, we took the decision to close in an orderly fashion in our remaining weeks. The domain name, SaferGaming.com, has been put up for sale, a buyer has been found and we are currently in the process of completing the transaction.
We would like to thank everyone that has been involved with the project and supported us with our progress. Your support inspired us greatly.
